By | November 10, 2023

We’ve got some important updates from the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG). They’re ready to announce the key dates and times for registration for both SLIG and Academy engagements in 2023.

Registration for SLIG 2023 will kick off on July 16, 2022, at 10:00 am MDT. You can register at the following web address: https://registration.ugagenealogy.org/. Want to get a glimpse of what to expect? You can check out course outlines and video teasers for SLIG 2023 here: https://slig.ugagenealogy.org/cpage.php?pt=641.

Also commencing on July 16, 2022, registration for Academy 2023 will open at 2:00 pm MDT. To sign up, head on over to: https://registration.ugagenealogy.org/. More info, including course outlines and videos for Academy 2023, can be found here: https://slig.ugagenealogy.org/cpage.php?pt=643.

In preparation for a seamless registration process, here are some handy tips:

  • First, consider joining UGA or renewing your UGA membership at least 48 hours ahead of registration to ensure the system updates and correctly applies your UGA discount.
  • Next, create or access your SLIG registration account—a separate account from your UGA one—at least a day before registration. Please verify that your details (name, address, phone number, email) are up-to-date and modify as required.

You’ll also need to agree to some policies upon registration, including:

  • Code of Ethics and Conduct: https://slig.ugagenealogy.org/cpage.php?pt=573
  • Privacy: https://slig.ugagenealogy.org/cpage.php?pt=574
  • Registration and Cancellation: https://slig.ugagenealogy.org/cpage.php?pt=575

If the course you want is sold out before you get to register, don’t worry—you’ll automatically join a waitlist and can choose another course.

Keen on more than one Academy course? Initially, you can only register for one course on the registration day. However, you can email your request for an additional course to registrar@slig.ugagenealogy.org. From July 18th, the registrar will look into these requests individually. If the second course you’re eyeing fills up, hurry and put yourself on the waitlist in case your request is granted.
