Explore Major German Cities with Our Newly Released Map Guides – Volume 60-65 Now Available!

By | May 23, 2023

Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Kevan Hansen has persisted in his writing, and Family Roots Publishing has continued to produce more parts of the “Map Guide to German Parish Registers” series. Each volume focuses on the major cities of Germany. The research process for these urban areas differs from that of the counties, or ‘bezirks’. Because of my personal health concerns related to Covid, I have been unable to announce any new volumes since the 59th. So, today we’re getting up to speed.

The latest volumes now available for purchase can be found through the links below. Clicking on these will give you all the necessary details – including each volume’s Table of Contents – and/or allow you to place an order:

  1. Map Guide To German Parish Registers Vol. 60, featuring Cologne and Düsseldorf (Soft Cover, PDF eBook, Hard Cover)
  2. Map Guide To German Parish Registers Vol. 61, featuring Breslau and Stettin (Soft Cover, PDF eBook, Hard Cover)
  3. Map Guide to German Parish Registers Volume 62, featuring Frankfurt am Main and Stuttgart (Soft Cover, PDF eBook, Hard Cover)
  4. Map Guide to German Parish Registers Volume 63, focused on the city of Strasbourg (Soft Cover, PDF eBook, Hard Cover)
  5. Map Guide to German Parish Registers Volume 64, featuring Hanover and Magdeburg (Soft Cover, PDF eBook, Hard Cover)
  6. Map Guide to German Parish Registers Volume 65, featuring Danzig and Königsberg (Soft Cover)

The PDF eBook and Hard Cover editions for the 65th volume, covering cities of Danzig and Königsberg, are currently being produced. The eBook is in the encoding stage, while the Hard Cover volume is at the bindery. We expect to have them listed within the next couple of weeks.

It’s anticipated that the series will culminate in 70 volumes, each one addressing research conducted in major German cities.
