Check Out the Latest Collection Updates on Ancestry Since September 11, 2020

The Ancestry.com website recently updated and added a variety of records.

As of November 23, 2020, birth records from Albemarle County, Virginia, dating from 1886 to 1896 have been updated. The German Lutheran Baptisms, Marriages, and Burials records from 1567 to 1945, and the US Obituary collection from 1930 to the present were both refreshed on November 19 and 17 respectively. Other significant updates were made for records of Michigan City, Indiana, Veteran Grave sites, and Military Cemeteries on Foreign Soil, as well as the U.S., Native American, Eastern Cherokee Indian Reservation Rolls, and the Census of the Ute Tribe.

On November 4, new records were added from Iowa, documenting persons subject to military duty from 1862 to 1910 and armed forces grave registrations from 1835 to 1998. Records of mining accidents in the U.S. from 1839 to 2006 were also newly included.

Various other updates were made for numerous Find a Grave Indexes, Civil War Pension Index, and Death Records from Berlin, Germany, along with several others.

Record updates and additions continued in October, with information from the U.S., such as the Southeast Coastwise Inward and Outward Slave Manifests, World War I Draft Registration Cards, and Baseball Questionnaires. There were also updates to records from Germany, Norway, France, and Wyoming.

In September, new data was introduced from New Orleans, Louisiana, and New York City, New York. Arkansas and Vermont records also saw updates.
