Some of us likely have ancestors or relatives who bravely served in the armed forces. We encourage you to celebrate these heroes and cherish their memory by delving into their history through military records.

The MyHeritage database boasts a comprehensive collection of 57 million records, which feature draft, enlistment, and service records, pension records, and a variety of additional military documents. These resources encompass North America and the rest of the globe, tracing back to the time of the American Revolutionary War in the late 18th century.

Make sure to catch MyHeritage’s upcoming Facebook Live event on military records, scheduled for Sunday, May 24:

Titled “Breaking Through Brick Walls with Military Records,” the event takes place at 1 P.M EDT on May 24. Kate Eakman, a senior researcher at Legacy Family Tree, will guide you on using military records to unlock hitherto intractable aspects of your genealogical research.

Stay updated by following MyHeritage on Facebook, where you can also tune in for the live event. If you miss it, there’s no need to worry—you can watch the recorded sessions later at your convenience. Plus, check out the complete lineup of May and June events hosted online by MyHeritage.
